Show + Tell Projects is a new pop-up concept that brings together the worlds of contemporary art, design and wellness. Located at Brunswig Square in downtown LA’s Little Tokyo, the industrial 4,000 square foot space will be home to an art and design concept store and a project space for special events and collaborations as well as wellness workshops curated by Creative Collective LA. Show + Tell was conceived by arts and culture publicist Jessica McCormack and Mara Mehdy, founder of Creative Collective LA, as a platform that supports the endeavors of inspiring Angelenos. The aim is to present a distinct collection of art, objects, performances and events produced by LAs emerging and established creative talent.

 

 
 
 

FOUNDERS

Jessica McCormack is an arts and culture publicist. She represents contemporary art galleries and artists providing marketing, public relations, event management and audience development services. Jessica has held a wide range of communications roles in the art world from institutional work at The Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles to client relations at Sothebys and publicity management for individual artists. As an independent consultant she has provided strategic communications for the launch of several galleries in downtown Los Angeles. She received her masters degree in strategic public relations from the University of Southern California and holds a bachelors degree in art history from DePaul University.


Mara Mehdy is the founder of Creative Collective LA and a certified Usui Reiki Master. Her professional career began in the corporate fashion world, holding positions at Fred Segal, Ron Herman and AG Jeans. In 2015 Mara decided to merge her passion for creative expression and healing arts with the launch of Creative Collective LA  Mara has always gravitated towards metaphysics, wellness and folk medicine and often integrates these elements into her curated events. Each event showcases emerging talents and explores growing the genuine connection among women in Los Angeles.
